Can someone identify this "olde" type font please?

Post by simonmlewis »

I'm trying to sort a web site for someone but I need to identify this font.
It looks like one that's been around years, like Alberian, but it's not that one.

Anyone help?

If you have more example letters, you could try sites like this: http://www.identifont.com/identify.html

I just spent 10 minutes going through 100+ questions on identifont.com, but it only works if you have a good sampling of characters. With just 'W', 'o', and 'd', it says Century Schoolbook.

But I had success with whatfontis.com: Imprint MT Shadow.

Yes - it wasn't Georgia.
Probably just chosen as a backup.
