The new version of Filezilla is flawed.
So I uninstalled and installed the older version.
But it keeps downloading the new one. Anyone know how to stop it download it and saying "a new one is ready for you".
I'm using 3.9.0.6

Has anyone else come across the problem with the new version?

Yes. It will not connect to the shared server I use. Something about "Server does not support non-ASCII characters," and then a timeout after attempting to "retriev directory listing" and "no activity after 20 seconds."
Their tech support tells me that is a universal problem. I went to a different ftp client and connected with no problem.
