Help - Php source code prints to screen

XML, Perl, Python, and other languages can be discussed here, even if it isn't PHP (We might forgive you).

Help - Php source code prints to screen

Post by dangerousjohnny »

Hi everyone,
I am fairly new to PHP, but I recently installed Apache and PHP and everything was working fine, but all of a sudden, when I run my perl scripts, the browser just displays the source code. These same scripts worked fine the other day, but now nothing works. help!

check your apache httpd.conf file, is .cgi or .pl, which ever you use, identified as a perl filetype?

Hi dangerousjohnny, welcome to PHP Developers Network.

Please, do not post same topic two times, oppening a new thread on same topic/problem, like you did with this.

This topic is already being discussed here: viewtopic.php?t=14575

Please some mod lock this thread...

Cheers,
Scorphus.

Yes, I've read it on the other thread. It's a board moderator's job. That's ok, don't worry. Let's wait for some of them fix things...

Keep on the other thread then, and as Sami said, check your httpd.conf.

Cheers,
Scorphus.

What Web Server do you have? Did you download Apache ? Also what OS are you using?

If you are using windows XP, follow the steps (this is also assuming you have Apache ) located at :
