Just to keep it fair, this is the server side of the vote. Which distro do you prefer for the server?

Debian. It is by far the most stable and secure Linux distro, also very easily updatable. It is mantained by the community not by an organization, thus it is really open source and absolutely free. Also that jigdo is a _very_ nice thing. The documentation is vast and precise at the same time, also translated to many languages. Well that's enough, go for it...

Its a toss up....Gentoo or Debian. I guess it all depends on the time you have.

rofl.
I run Fedora on my server, but that's because I was too lazy to download slackware or debian.
I've heard BSD is better, though. *shrugs*

I've used slack but found myself trying to get drivers/software to work more than using the system for its intended purpose.
I currently own 3 FC3 servers for my site and I run FC3 on my laptop and a pc at home for development.
Why? Fedora has a large user base and it is much easier to get answers when it matters. Also you have to just love yum for some updates.
