phplinks

XML, Perl, Python, and other languages can be discussed here, even if it isn't PHP (We might forgive you).

phplinks

Post by buzzsonic »

Forgive me if I'm in the wrong section, completely new to PHP and I doubt if I'll ever get round to getting my hands dirty with actual coding but I'm using PHPLinks for a music directory, doesn't seem to be supported anymore, but anyway, I'm editing everything via file manager in CPanel. Now once phplinks is installed the default look has an about link, once on the top navigation, once at the bottom, now on my site I've redirected the top link to my home page and changed the bottom link About title to FAQ, you can see by looking at the links section on my home page ,all thats there is the default PHPLinks jargon. My problem is, is that I cannot suss out how to modify this text. Anybody ever used PHP Links ? Would be grateful for any help. The other thing with this little app is that its difficult to create sub directories, is there a PHP alternative ? I've tried PHP Nuke and Post Nuke and MamboServer but I dont need the whole Portal thing, just a directory structure. Sorry for rambling and apologies in advance if I've been stupid enough to post in the wrong place, but PHP forums I looked for in Google and this was # 1, so...
Thanks

Ade
