I ran into a problem like that a few months back. I was managing a website with ~14k users and I accidently changed the type of column in the table, so all of the users had a birth year of '255'.
Luckily I had a page loaded (from earlier testing) that had every single birth year that was previously in the database. An hour later, back to normal. *whipes sweat off of forehead*

Before the database went down i had an average of around 7 posts per day, now i have something like 0.0003
obviously this goes hand in hand, and is caused by, the inaccurate joining date
now its 0 in replies, when i check they already have 3/4 replies already :/.
also, when posting, it says "Failed sending email"..um..i am trying to post, not send a email
