Yes, twig is quite well known for her pranks. Feyd hasn't been the only one to fall for the old "bucket of ketchup on the doorframe" joke.

If I may say so myself: feyd is trying to ketch up.

OCAPOCHA will of course generously reward you. We do keep about 10% of the bets made, last year we made about graphix totalling at over 1 million pixels. Of course most of the money goes back into the business or is spent on advertising. But you we are most generous: 1 pixel for every bet you get for OCAPOCHA. 3 pixels for every good-looking female assistant. Sounds good? Well, I thought so. Done and dusted. Sign here.
/points at the dotted line

(don't worry about the small print, you need a new fridge anyway).

Oh, and once you're sworn the PHP-oath (you what I mean), you should change your signature to "Official CAP++ Postcount Challenge (OCAPOCHA) Assistant 2004". Beware! This is highly coveted title - to make it uniquely yours and unfakable, simply add ... around it. This way every OCAPOCHA-employee will know you're genuine.
Oh, and we have a secret handshake. I'll show you later.

Hmm, feyd, you should really take that bucket off your head, man. That's a real handicap in this competition.

Back to the competition: feyd leads with 4921, while twig has a remarkable 4908, only 13 posts between them...

signs

Post by phpScott »

phpScott signs bob smith to the contract just in case something fishy is going on. Its all about the trust.

wow if I get enough assistants and maybe a good retirement scheme I could live out my days on pixels and graphics. I wonder how many pixels I need for that nice sunny house on the beach in NZ.

It is still a close race, the last time I checked the twiganator was ahead of feyd.

feyd | barely ;)

Well, the big posting challenge is still on, but one of the contestants (feyd) has thrown in his towel for a temporary break, which was duly given. The goal is to reach 5150 posts - for either Twig or Feyd. Feyd is, currently in the lead - can he maintain it, I ask you? Can he? Can he? Or will twig, in a brutal sprint to the finish, do a posting sprint? We'll soon find out!

---- commercial break -----

/friendly woman's voice

"Darling, I told you, that if you eat "All Natural Bran" in the morning, you cholerstol will go up and you're more likely to get a cardiac arrest"
/man's voice
"Hon, you're too good to me. Fix me my second bowl, why don't you"
/narrator's voice
"All Natural Bran" - your's truly!

breaks, a break. Do people get a break when running the marathon? Do people get a break when driving SilverStone. NO, this is a heated compition.
------thinks to self-- wait a minute I'm cheering for twig if feyd is taking a break then that means twig can leap ahead and I can win a bunch of pixels------

feyd do you want a holiday or something, how about a night at the pub?

Laaaaaaaaaaaaaaadies and Gentlemen: you can still place your bet, odds are 3:2 for feyd. We accept tifs, bmp, gifs, jpg and pngs. State your maximum bet in pixels and you may win a MASSSIVE graphic, filling not one, not two, not three: NO it might just fill 10.592 desktops. See if you can cope with that, Linux. Wooooooooooooooooohoooooooooooooooo! So many challenges...

Do I get a bonus prize for reaching 5000 posts first even though I'm likely to lose the competition overall?

Are you, too, throwing in the towel? Do you already admit defeat in the face of a strong opponent?

Then, by all means, the judge panel will withdraw and announce a decision on the result of this extraordinary competition later today.

/puts mike away

Twig, I'm sure you can have a couple of hundred pixels, no doubt. Just don't tell anyone, mmkay?

will that mean I can win after my ealier bet. I would like a bunch of nice blue pixels with a forest green trim, thank you.

does this mean that I have step down as an assistant too? Maybe I was just letting the power go to my head, I mean an assistant wooooohoooooo? I got to do nothing but sit around and read posts all day, I'll never find a job like that agian and to be paid in pixels too, I can always use some more pixels.

Oh well may the best woman win, err I mean poster.

If Volka was still around he would have reached that target a year ago, now there was a prolific poster.

What ever happened to Volka?

Well... you see I've just got this new graphics card and some games and it's kinda eating into my forum time... plus work expect me to actually do things for them (shocking I know) and feyd doesn't sleep so...

...it's a yes? The B I G posting challenge will be over? phpScott and I will be out of a job? You send two good people on the streets without clothes and nothing to eat and not a pixel in their pockets because you want to play computer games? Wooohhaaaa.
But I'm not complaining.

/whispers to one of his sub-assistants
"Come on, you're much better at drama than I am. Whine a bit, come on. Cry, tear out hair (yours), make a racket that would melt stone!"

/loud sobbing is to be heard, alond with cries of pain and anguish

We are taking this decision with regret, but we...

/" BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOHOHOOOOOOOOOOOHOHO" <sob>

respect it."

twig can play games because she has pixels to spare, how about throwing some our way, --puts hand out-- spare some pixels for a cup of tea graphic.

Are you at least going to play something good of did you get the latest spinoff of tetris and are going to go cube eyed?

----wispers to patrickG, you know if we keep goading twig into answering questions here we can get at least one of these challengers to reach your target  ------

oh well I must respect the decision of the athlete's but that means I will have to go back to my real job that actual pays me in something I can by food with.
----turns away shoulders shaking, sobbing quietly to himself   ------
