I made it to the O'Reily Open Source Convention this year and thought it was amazing. I would think that PHPCon would be equal to or better.

I bet attendance at these conventions is way down from what it used to be. They haven't changed their prices much, and people are making less and companies are willing to pay for less.

Personally, I've *never* had my company pay for me to go to anything, not even in the same town.

Registration Rate for PHPCon

This program looks good so I wish everyone interested could make it. Just to answer one of the questions about the registration fee, there is an early bird discount of $100 if you register by Oct 11th. Not sure if that makes a big difference in corporate accounting these days.
