Are you a gamer?

Post by Burrito »

If so, what do you play?

right now I'm pretty caught up in CS:S. I used to play the hell out of UT2k4, but ever since HL2 was released, I've been hooked (first on HL2, now on CS:S).

I also play some of the AoE series with my kids and have enjoyed the newest one....AoE III.

so do you game?

I play some Natural Selection (a HL1 mod), a little Diablo II, some EQ2, rarely some Guild Wars and AATraders :) Also working on my own BBG.

Oh and a bit of the "new" SWG.

I've played CS:S every day since HL2 was released.

Gotta wonder why I still suck at it really.

Because there's people like fatality out there :P

Btw, fat hates to lose...a lot :) He used to stop by my friends house a lot and crashed on the couch. He practices 8 hours a day and literally does it for a living. Can't beat the life :)

I used to play Everquest some years ago, but quit it because it took up way too much of my time. To deal with the "withdrawal symptoms", I played UT2003 for some time but quit that as well when I got bored with it. Nowadays, I don't play any computer game anymore, although sometimes there is a bit of temptation and still have some very fond memories of EQ.

Civilisation, currently Civ IV. A little HL2 for kicks, and X3. I have issues with addiction to grand scale strategy games... I also play a few browser based games out there, under a safe alias to avoid getting mobbed to death by rival developers...;)

I play medal of honor allied assault and have done since the demo. It's the best FPS ever released. I've tried some other FPS's, Doom 3, FarCry (both struggle on my PC but are playable), CoD, UT2k4, all are quite good but don't have the edge that MoH:AA does.

I am gunna upgrade my PC around crimbo (looking to budget about £300), and then I will install F.E.A.R., CoD 2, Doom 3 and FarCry (again), HL2, Quake 4 + more. Try all them out.

I play over @ http://www.clanbase.com - you've probably heard of it.

If any of you have played it/play it/wanna play it, send me a PM and I'll show you whos boss :)

http://www.eve-online.com :)

CS1.6 gets most of my attention atm, used to play competitively but once the novelty wore off it was mega boring so we (me + friends) only muck about now.

Used to be in a Call of Duty clan Serenity (which then marged Asylum.UK then split again :P), which we took quite far, becoming one of the better known clans in Europe, but that didn't last long. We are thinking of making a comeback for Cod2, but Cod2 is just too cartoony to take very far imo.

Having played CS for 5+ years, I can officially declare CS:S as gash :P

EVE & CS (Squirrell & Grim... respectively)

We've had a thread a bit like this not long ago (started by me, no less)...

Right now I'm pretty nuts for Simcity 4 (an older game I know, but hey). I've also been playing Master of Orion 2 as of late. Oh, and I'll also play Halo 1 at the mere mention of the game.
Real programmers don't comment their code. If it was hard to write, it should be hard to understand.

Only CS 1.6 as of now. I also was/am a fan of HoMM and AoW series (RPS), but since those are time consuming, I left them out. Btw, my PC sucks big time, so that's also a factor, otherwise I'd be playing some race sim, no doubt about it. :D

Halo 1 and 2 at my friends' houses. I prefer Halo 2. I hope to get my own Xbox here in a bit. :)

Other than when hanging out with my friends, I don't game at all.

World of Warcraft
Civ4
Bards Tale
Starcraft
Blacknova Traders

Back in the day, I used to play Tribes (the original), Unreal Tournament, and even Q3A, but with age, my appreciation of twitch games has decreased considerably. I love strategy now.

It seems like I'm one of the few people here that don't play any games. I just don't have the patience for games; I get annoyed after playing a game for more than an hour. Beats me why. They seem such a waste of time... (as opposed to surfing the web for hours :P ).
