Care to provide more information as to the purpose of the site and your plans...?

You might spark a little more interest that way.

alright in general my site will be somewhat of a networking site, but not so much a networking site. It will have the traits of one, but will not be focussed on the whole member buddies area. The site will contain actual content for the readers to view and react with. The site (from my plans) will require some form of member management, along with some time of news management with categories. I will need to configure a forum script, along with how to allow members access based on the member status, and not to mention give them the access to edit and work on their profile.

You missed the part about why people would want to help you. Some people may do it for fun or for the experience, but not many. You'll likely be better off explaining what there is to gain by helping you for free.

From what you've given it sounds like the thousands of other social networking sites out there. I'll slowly bow out of this thread now..

Good luck.

-site will contain actual content for the readers to view and react with.
-member management,
-news management with categories.
-forum script,
-allow members access based on the member status
-access to edit and work on their profile
Why don't you take a look at an open source product like Joomla or Drupal and related add-ons. All of these features are available for free.

because for some strange reason I would rather know, as well as build it from the ground up, just so that it would be my own. Along with this I would know everything, and how it works, and know how to customize the items better. So in general it's like art, yea you could buy a picture and say that it's yours but it would just feel better if you made your own.

Isn't that a contradiction? You want it to be your own, yet you want other people to do it? Anyway, I'd like to know what stage of development this project is at and maybe even what your selling point is, rather than just 'a sort of networking site...thing' :|

What exactly is an admin panel? Are these people or a screen?
If you are looking for "php/mysql programmers, writers, designers, and java scriptors" how do expect it to be "to be your own" .
Do you realize that building a site with member management, news management with categories, forum script may be 2-3 months of work for experienced professionals?
