What requires Linux?
I wanted to migrate to Linux but I don't know what are the specification of Linux in terms of hardware. Does Linux adopts all hardware specification or their are requirements needed to install Linux operating system?
Re: What requires Linux?
If your PC runs Windows ok then it'll run Linux ok too.

Re: What requires Linux?
Definitely, Linux requires less hardware performance-wise. However, drivers can get kind of messy. Before you migrate to Linux, make sure all of your hardware is compatible with your chosen distro.

Re: What requires Linux?
You should use Ubuntu
Linux doesn't "have kinds of operating system" - it itself is an OS. You are talking about "window managers" or "graphical user interface". A Linux distribution, may have several different "window managers" installed - KDE, Gnome, etc.
PS: It's Red Hat, not Red Hot
Thanks for making me smile - I needed it today
